Alnawar, Hassan was born in the cradle of civilization; Mesopotamia, and traveled to Europe and the United States to present his art of canvas painting. It is his approach to understand the nature of human beauty via exploring cultures and representing them through canvas painting. Since painting can give him the freedom to express thoughts and feelings that can never be expressed via words, there is an infinite number of meanings to his paintings that cannot be delivered via vocabulary. Canvas painting can enliven our thoughts and feelings and represent them visually, Alnawar says. It’s the fourth dimension where these feelings come to life to speak to people and to leave them in a labyrinth of wondering about the meaning behind it.

 

Painting with colors for Hassan is a lifelong journey. It has some wonderful yet sometimes frustrating surprises. His brush touches on canvas is like the steps, that could lead him to the right or the wrong direction. My touches though at the end surrender, as usual to my imagination where its thoughts and feelings come to life and take charge of the brush to express some thoughts in a quaint style.
